Advancing the Professional Practice of Strategic Management & Supporting Independent Strategic Management Experts
On March 13th we are launching the Future of the Board initiative at a one-day conference in London.
Sixteen experts in various aspects of corporate governance and board effectiveness will deliver three keynote speeches and four panel sessions on key issues facing boards.
The full research-based initiative will last two years and explore eight broad themes linked to eight conferences and a series of eight publications documenting the practical insights that emerge.
The project has a dedicated website http://www.futureoftheboard.com and a dedicated Linkedin group https://www.linkedin.com/groups/8641251 Both will support a growing global community of interest in the topic and the whole initiative.
Whilst the launch is in London, future conferences will also take place in other countries because we wish to ensure our research is global in perspective.
Today I published an article on the thoughts of Prof. Bob Garratt, one of the keynote speakers. He has been working in this area at the highest levels for many years and authored classic texts on the topic: The Fish Rots from the Head (now in its third edition), and Stop the Rot, published last year.
